Oxynova would like to recognize the remarkable work of the hyperbaric center OxySoins, which enlisted the help of the community for little Marylie, who became paralyzed after narrowly escaping a drowning incident in the spring of 2016. Located in Drummondville, Quebec (Canada), the center specializes in the rental and sale of hyperbaric chambers as well as in the provision of supervised treatments. Affected by this story, the co-owner of OxySoins, Isabelle Meilleur, called on the community and family members to organize a fundraising campaign to purchase a hyperbaric chamber, amounting to $25,000.
Having achieved this goal, the center was able to donate to the family, in December 2016, an Oxynova hyperbaric chamber to improve the quality of life of this little girl. By increasing the air pressure and the concentration of oxygen, the treatment inside the hyperbaric chamber is intended to help her reactivate the brain cells which lacked air during her accident.
